Holiday reading assignment
As promised, I've shared with you on Moodle the book list and assignment (part 2). Add to that list Auburn University's common read from last summer, Nobodies: Modern American Slave Labor and the Dark Side of the New Global Economy by John Bowe. If you would like to go ahead and begin perusing the options, go right ahead. You may check a book out from me, the HHS library, or the Annie Awbrey Public Library. Of course, you may also purchase the book. Register your selection here. No more than two people may read the same book.
"Shooting an Elephant" by George Orwell
Answer your question in 125-150 words. Make sure that your answer has a topic sentence. Content matters; so does grammar. I recommend answering on a Word or Google doc, saving that doc, and then copying and pasting the content.

Marilyn
Remember that we decided that we should not only abide by norms (speak one at a time, stay on topic) but that we should also offer "good thoughts" (important, appropriate, well-reasoned). By the beginning of tomorrow's class, please post regarding the process of discussion and/or good ideas and strong points. You may reference the "fish bowl" portion of class or the after-band-and-cheerleaders left discussion. 50-60 words.
